Why?!

That seems to be the ONLY question we hear these days. Why would anyone move their family out to Grantsville, UT? I have heard ALL the reasons why NOT... the commute, the water, the schools, the COMMUTE! I just want to reassure all of you AGAIN that a lot of soul searching and prayer went into this life altering decision. Taking the boys away from the city where they have accumulated almost all of their memories, where they have so many amazing friends and family, and where we find ourselves surrounded by constant love and support was not an easy decision to come to.

We prayed, and cried, and searched...

but in the end...

This won out! That is the veiw of our soon-to-be yard. And way back you can see the boys and I standing at the back fence.
Here is a closer shot...kind of... We took the boys out there last week to show them. They jumped out of the car and ran like the wild things that they are. They spent the next very cold few minutes digging at mouse/snake/gopher holes and throwing rocks. I didn't have to say "Don't yell, you will bug the neighbors!" or "Stay out of that yard." They were just free. Considering they have been calling a postage stamp their back yard for the passed 4 years, this was heaven! Already they are making plans for a dog...ummm...I told them dogs require fences so I think we dodged the bullet on that one for a little while...
This is the reservoir near our little plot of weeds.

I realize this is not everyone's ideal place of residence, but it is perfect for us and I am in love!

i think no matter what anyone says or does, in the end, you always have to listen to your mate and your heart! i have been in that situation where i was amking a life-altering decision, and a lot of people didn't understand why i was doing what i was doing, but i knew it was the right thing for me. if you listen to the spirit's promptings you will never go wrong! p.s. i'm happy you found something that feels SO right for you family, but i am really going to miss you and the boys!!

I love sunsets in Utah. Your's will be awesome.

How will your home be positioned relative to the mountains? or to the reservoir? Can't wait to see the evolution - ground breaking - step by step until Amy has it looking adorable.

Lot's of memories to come!
